Kazma - Al-Manama 90-100

Al-Manama forced 26 Kazma turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Lamont Jones (183-1990, college: Iona, agency: Diamond Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Elijah Robinson (200-1995, college: Emmanuel, GA) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Robinson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks by Tunisian center Salah Mejri (217-1986) did not help to save the game for Kazma. American guard Shane Rector (188-1994, college: Utah St.) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

American point guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 assists. The other American import forward Antonio Campbell (206-1994, college: Ohio) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American Nick Minnerath (207-1988, college: Detroit) replied with 31 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and center Qais Alshabebi (200-1991) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shabab Al Ahli. Shabab Al Ahli's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

American-Dominican forward Edgar Sosa (190-1988, college: Louisville) scored 32 points and 5 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-1988, college: Charleston) chipped in 29 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Arsalan Kazemi (200-1990, college: Oregon, agency: BIG) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-1994) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Zob Ahan's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Canadian-Jordanian guard Freddy Ibrahim (190-1996, college: Tampa) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and American power forward Brandon Peterson (203-1990, college: Arkansas St., agency: Diamond Sports) supported him with 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Even 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Kevin Murphy (197-1990, college: Tenn Tech) did not help to save the game for Al Riyadi. Nigerian forward Daniel Ochefu (211-1993, college: Villanova) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
